Access Point Description:

Bob Turners track is the last access point to the Colo gorge. If you are doing the trip from bob turner Tack to Upper Colo Reserve or bridge after dropping off your vehicle at the reserve drive up Colo Heights road and turn left onto the Putty road continue along the road until you pass the Petrol station and about 750 meters just as you round a left hand bend turn left onto a dirt track (slow down as you go past the petrol station that way any vehicles behind will not be surprised when you break to veer left.
the road is generally in good condition and so can be OK for a 2WD vehicle but it can get rough after rain. Follow the road to the end of the tack where you will see the Bob Turners Track signpost.
The track is well defined all the way to the river. It starts out and finished with a steps down a steep section ans the rest of the track is a gradual drop down to the river with the occasional creek crossing.
There is a great camp site at the river . There always seems to be someone camping there as part of a bushwalk, lilo trip or fishing trip. If it is a little crowed for you there are camp site across the river and about 1 km downstream on river left

Camp fire allowed
