The Canoe and Kayak Trails program by New south Wales Crown Lands promotes the use of riverside crown land where you can either access a river and in some cases camp on the reserve. They have several map kits that can either be downloaded as a pdf or ordered as hard copies

Leaving Tumut on the Snowy Mountains highway turn right towards Gundagai on Gocup road. Then at 4.5km turn right onto Gocup Farm Rd and then at 700m turn right again and drive part Rivercrest retreat and down to the river. Whilst this is a crown road reserve it is always a good idea to phone the landowner.
Camping is not permitted on this reserve without permission. Please contact Rivercrest Retreat on 0419 466 902 prior to arrival.
