This is a family-friendly spot by the Lachlan River, 42 km west of Lake Cargelligo town. Facilities are basic – a wood fireplace and picnic table only – but there’s space for the kids to run around, and it’s a tranquil setting. It’s 2WD access in dry weather only, via Ballyrogan Channel from Hillston Rd. You’ll need to bring drinking water and firewood.
