036. Lachlan River, Jemalong weir

Jemalong Weir on the Lachlan river. Provides access to the Lachlan river.  Ensure you keep the maker bouys between you and the weir.  This is the end of the Forbes to Jemalong section and start of the Jemalong to Condo  section.   
Lift out is required to port around the weir. This point is the lift out above the weir. This would be approx 750-800mtrs from lift out point to back of camping area to re-enter beyond campground fenced area.  Ensure you keep the maker bouys between you and the weir.  This is the end of the Forbes to Jemalong section and start of the Jemalong to Condo  section.
This shaded parkland by the Lachlan River deserves a place on your itinerary. You can enjoy a picnic, fishing, swimming and a walk in the riverside bushland or just watch the water cascade over the weir.  Free camping is permitted.  Limited facilities. no comms. enter thru gates at weir.
 
You can even climb nearby Jemalong Mountain. Less than 24 km from Forbes along the South Condobolin Road, this quiet spot has BBQ, picnic facilities and toilets.  Discover a rich variety of native wildlife and birdlife.
