Access Point Description:
The Kingston-on-Murray ferry commenced operation in 1922, by 1969 the delays were up to 2 1/2 hours so the Government commissioned the building of a bridge.
The photograph below shows the first motorised punt at Kingston-on-Murray. The photo comes from the archives of the State Library of South Australia. The identification is PRG 1258/2/581. Unfortunately, the photograph is slightly faded. It is not clear if the punt operated at the site of the ferry.
