Fully covered by shade sails, Mowbray Park's nautical themed playground includes a senior all abilities seat swing and a hammock swing and coloured abacus balls. The play area has a rubber surface surrounding, enabling good wheelchair and pram access.
MOWBRAY PARK PONTOON REPAIRS
After completing initial works to the Mowbray Park Pontoon, inspections confirmed the need for additional repairs to ensure safety for recreational users.
The repair work on the pontoon will be extended to mid-November 2023, weather and maintenance conditions permitting. Works hours will continue to take place from 6:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of works on Saturdays and during low tide levels in the Brisbane River.
To complete the work as safely as possible, the Mowbray Park Pontoon will remain closed for the duration of the works.
