Barrington Outdoor Adventures is dedicated to providing wilderness adventures with canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking & abseiling tours. We also offer canoe and kayak hire, transport to and from the river, catering and expert knowledge on the environment and history of the Gloucester and Barrington Tops region. We supply the latest, well-maintained, quality equipment, all meals are freshly prepared on site and our experienced guides are enthusiastic about their environment. Our business is a family business of long standing and is Gloucester’s oldest tourism operator. It was started as the Billabong Bush Centre in 1983 by Matthew Kilby, and became Barrington Outdoor Adventure Centre when taken over by his brother Brian Kilby in 1995. Canoe Barrington was purchased and absorbed in 2009. At BOAC, we have always been passionate about our environment and have tried to minimise our impact on the earth. Our organization has extensive local knowledge and guides trained in our environmental policy to ensure that you can have an adventure of a lifetime without damaging the gifts that nature has given us. In growing our business we are aware of our obligations to both our customers and future generations. We believe that our rivers and forests belong to all and it is our aim to ensure that these beautiful areas remain that way.

Access Point Description:
The Laneway is a gated dirt (then grass) lane accessed off BarringtonEast Road, 2.2km from Barrington township. Please leave the gate as found (ie if closed, close it). Care should be taken as The Laneway has private property either side and often there are cattle grazing along the access road. Drive 300m from the gate to the riverbank and park, boat put-in is through another gate and down a narrow walking track, about a 30m walk to the riverside. If you are using the Laneway as an exit point, it is difficult to find from the river but there is a small sign high in the trees on river right before the pull-out point.Â
