Access from the northern side of the river. NB Google Maps shows this is a crossing/bridge, but its not (it is the site of the former bridge - now gone). Can be tricky to pull out here as eddies are minimal (channel is narrow and straight, and water flows fast) and banks are very steep - not ideal, but doable if you have to. Or you can try pulling out just upstream of the railway bridge and walking - but again, a bit tricky, and in whitewater boats you might not be able to paddle back up against the current if you decide that upstream was better! (longer kayaks are ok).
A better option is to paddle down to the Macquarie River and paddle upstream to Troy Bridge.
