ThisĀ is a very popular public reserve in Western Sydney with picnic tables and toilets and shallow sandy beaches as well as some deep water. In summer the car parking can fill up very earley in the mornring. It is at the junction of the Nepean River and Grose Rivers were the Hawkesbury River starts and fresh water flowiing out of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area on the Grose River side of the reserve. The water level is tidal and so the level goes up and down with the tides. Both rivers can also be fast flowing after rain events.
