
The Boatshed at Woronora is a landmark building located on Forbes Creek and has enabled many people to enjoy the Woronora River for over 60 years. Today the Boatshed at Woronora has been given a fresh look that nevertheless retains its old-world charm and the facilities have been updated to enable both boating and non-boating enthusiasts to enjoy a leisurely day on the river. A range of fibreglass and plastic canoes and kayaks is available for one to four people and aluminium runabouts (tinnies) for up to four adults. No boat licence is required. The waterfront cafe/kiosk is open to everyone, with an all-day brunch style menu.If you wish to bring your own picnic, the adjacent Prince Edward Park has plenty of places to sit and enjoy the water as well as a playground area and electric barbecues. The river is safe to swim in.
The Boatshed has a range of fibreglass and plastic canoes and kayaks for hire, for one to four (two adults and two children) people. All boats have built-in buoyancy and you can use a single or double-ended paddle according to preference and availability. Fishing supplies, including bait and a license, can be purchased at the Boatshed. Facilities: First aid equipment.
