Dragon Boating is an exciting water sport that puts 22 people into one boat with the sole objective of crossing the finish line before other teams. The Northern Beaches Dragon Boat Club (NBDBC), based in Manly Cove at Manly Yacht and always on the look-out for new paddlers, sweeps and coaches. Come along and find out for yourself why Dragon Boating is one of the fastest growing water sports in Australia
The Northern Beaches Dragon Boat Club (NBDBC) was formed in 1997 and trains in the beautiful surroundings of Manly Cove.
The club caters for all ages and fitness levels. We support and motivate our paddlers to reach their goals.
NBDBC has competed with great success across the years in the racing divisions of Mixed, Womens, Mens, Open and Masters.
We pride ourselves on being competitive. This is highlighted each season by the large number of members that are chosen to represent the State Dragonboat team.
We are also very sociable! We have loads of fun with our team at Sunday breakfast after training, as well as burger nights after Thursday's session in the summer.
Our club members are from all over the world!
Currently we have Aussies, Kiwis, Poms, Germans, Italians, Chinese, Scotts, Dutch - you name it!
