This Hotel was established in the 1860's as the Commercial Hotel and was rebuilt in 1928.
The Town was Trunkey Creek and was renamed to Trunkey in recent times by authorities. The locals however want it renamed back to Trunkey Creek and that is happening at the moment and hopefully might be the case by end 2004
