HISTORY
The Onkaparinga Canoe Club (The OCC) is one of South Australia's oldest canoe clubs, incorporated in 1976.
We are located on the tidal estuary of the Onkaparinga River at Port Noarlunga, in the Southern suburbs of Adelaide.
The OCC is a small and friendly club that caters for all ages and levels of experience.  Since 1976, the club has produced many state, national, and international competitors.   Amongst the notables are Olympians Scott Wooden (1984) and Olympic Medalist Ian Rowling (1992) - both trained at and competed for the Onkaparinga Canoe Club during their paddling careers.
TRAINING
Training times are typically Mon, Wed, Fri. at 5pm and Sat at 8am. Beginners and triallists are welcome.
ACTIVITIES
Sprint and Marathon racing Coaching and training of Kayakers and SLSA Ski paddlers.Squads/Individuals can train at times to suit themselves. Prospective members can try out by appointment.
REQUIREMENTS
Prospective members need to be confident around/in water. Club boats are limited to competition class boats,(K1,K2,K4, TK1,TK2) and as such are somewhat unstable for complete novices or beginners. Quality tuition allows potential and current members to progress quickly.
