Relaxed Holiday Trip

The gear you need to bring is very similar to what you would bring on a hike. You can afford to bring some extra luxuries but remember to keep everything waterproofed. You can pack all your gear into duffel bags, hiking bags or similar to put into the middle of the canoes. Within these bags you need to pack things inside plastic bags or waterproof bags to protect against water splashes. Food will be done in small groups of people who are responsible for there own menus talk to me if you need suggestions your meals. You will need to form your own food groups. PACKING LIST - WHILE PADDLING: Hat, drink bottle, snacks, shoes that can get wet (for getting in/out of canoes) sunscreen, paddling cloths, sunniness (There is potential for them to fall off so not your good pair). CAMP: Sleeping Bag, Sleeping mat, Grounds sheet & tarp / Tent, Pillow (optional), change of clothes (inc. thermals if you have them), torch, personal toiletries and small first aid kit, pen and notebook. Food (organised in your cooking groups) - All meals, bowl, plate, cup, knife, fork, spoon. washing gear. I will bring some cooking gear to share if need be. we will be cooking on fire (unless Total Fire Ban) so a billy to cook meals is required. talk to me about your meals and i can steer you in the right direction. OPTIONAL: Camera NOTE: I have spare gear as does the Browns so if your missing something ask and we should be able to lend it to you.
