Description:
The river flows through farmland in this section and can be fast flowing and turbulent if the Hydro station is generating.
Hazards:
There is one Grade 3 rapid know as the Dog Leg. It is on a left hand bend, where the river is divided by a small island.
There are a few small midstreaam islands which narrow the river channels and these are prone to snagging.
The river widens and starts to meander through farmland and slows down with the occasional rapid and so is mainly flat water.
Willows growing into the stream from the bank can be an issue on this section.
