Description:

Lachlan River, Waroo Bridge to Bumbuggan Weir starts at the Waroo Bridge camp site and  continues down the Lachlan to the junction of the Lachlan River and the Island Creek. ( Approx 20KM)  You should stay in the Lachlan so move to the right. This may be difficult to determine.  Your destination is the junction of the Bumbuggan Creekk. If you take the Island Creek, you will normally run out of water in the Island Creek before you find the stored water behind the Island Creek Weir. The Bumbuggan Creek junction is approx 10ks further down river.  At the junction of the Lachlan and the Bumbuggan Creek the creek is the bigger of the two channels and approx. 120metres from the bridge on the  North Forbes Road, which is approx. 120metres from the Bumbuggan Meir. The river has trees laying across it at many places which have to be got over, around or under as each case dictates. Bumbuggan weir provides free camp site for tired paddlers. North Forbes Road follows river most of the way with in monitoring distance. Waroo Bridge Road leads to North Forbes Road.
