A rarely paddled, appealing, alpine stream that crosses the Waterfall Way near Ebor.
The trip starts with continuous grade II rapids through surreal, open farmland (you’ll feel like you are in Ireland), a few interesting grade III drops and some fence portages before changing dramatically at a large waterfall onto rocks that can be portaged on the left. Below the falls, the river picks up considerably with lots of interesting rapids and a grade IV slide shortly after the confluence with Jocks Water, where the Blicks River officially begins.
At the time of writing, the landowners at the put-in and take-out were not welcoming to paddlers so please stick to the river when paddling this section and be extra cautious to not cause any damage to fences.

Gauge and level:Visual from Waterfall Way. If you can paddle the rapids near the road, you are good to go. This run requires a lot of water and is hard to catch as it is so high on the catchment. As a rough indication, the Nymboida@Nymboida electronic gauge would likely be above 4m and the Guy Fawkes@Ebor electronic gauge would be above 1.2m.
Put-in:Bridge where Waterfall Way crosses the creek approximately 6km east of Ebor.
Take-out:Where Goddards Road crosses Little Falls Creek, approximately 5km west of Hernani. It is better to park here than the next bridge over the Blicks River as the landowner near the Blicks bridge is not welcoming to paddlers.
Shuttle:Easy 2WD. 20 minutes each way via Waterfall Way, Armidale Road, Marengo Road and Goddards Road.
