Description:

Tight, technical tree paddling that includes the beautiful Battery Falls (Grade IV+ Park'n Huck).
This obscure run may not have been repeated since the first descent in the late 1990s and information on the run is lacking. Based on the gradient and the section downstream, paddling likely consists of pools interspersed with technical tree paddling and rocky drops/ramps.
About one kilometre before the take-out, Battery Falls is reached. It is the closest thing to a park-n-huck waterfall as you will find on the Plateau. The walking track to Battery Falls is about 1km up the hill (south) from the take-out. Look for a faint trail and walk about 250m down the steep rainforest track to the river.

Gauge and level:One way to check the level is to look at the Little Nymboida in Lowanna. If it looks possible to paddle down the rapid upstream of the bridge (about 0.4 on the manual gauge on this bridge), there is likely enough water. Other possible indicators include water being  over the Bobo River Bridge on Lower Bobo Road and the Nymboida@Nymboida electronic gauge being at least 3m.
Put-in:Where the road is close to the river just east of Timmsvale.
Take-out:Battery Falls 'Campground’ (not actually a campground), where Battery Falls Road meets the river approximately 12km northwest of Ulong.
Shuttle:Medium, AWD 20 minutes each way via Timmsvale Road and Battery Road.
