Description:
The river runs through a timbered gorge before reaching open country near Menangle. (A side trip into the Cataract River which comes in on the right just downstream of Douglas Park Bridge, for a short distance is recommended for exploration purposes. It is a wild and rugged gorge 80m deep with walls rising 30m sheer to the plateau).
