Description:
The river flows through very scenic country, particularly where it passes through Woko National Park, much of which is rainforest. Birds in this area are very prolific. There are numerous grade 2 and more taxing grade 2 rapids in this section. About 9km from the start an interesting and more difficult grade 2 rapid is encountered with a drop of 2-3m. This presents a challenge for novices but is usually straightforward if the best path is chosen. Towards the end of the trip the river meanders away from the road and rejoins it shortly before the bridge. Pulling out in this stretch would be difficult.
