Description:
The river predominately flows between forested ridges and consists of gravel races and longish sandy-bottomed pools. In general it is free of tree hazards and maintains a reasonable flow. The rapids are up to grade 2 with a water level of at least 1.0m (refer Section 1). The main landmarks in the section are Wandella Creek (9km) and the smallish Cut Burra Creek (15.5km). Apart from these a few remote dwellings usually pinpoint the location of a forestry road. The trip can easily be extended through to Tuross Lake if desired, however camping is restricted by farming habitation.
