Description:

This section has many trees in the river and grade 1 and 2 rapids with a good water level. The scenery is pleasant in a very narrow tree-studded valley. Just above the Woolwash is a larger rapid which needs to be inspected in high water. This rapid is uncanoeable in low water.

This section is extremely overgrown and is not worth doing. If the river is up it is best to do the section from Freeres crossing to ingleburn weir.
