Care should be taken as in this section you paddle through North Sydney Harbour Aquatic reserve. in this paddle you can explore the parkland and beaches of North Haarbour including Forty Baskets Beach, Reff Beach, Manly Cove, Little Manly Cove, Collins Beach, Store Beach and Quarantine Beach. There are cafe's at Maanly Cove and Quarantine Beach. Access points include Silver Beach Manly Cove, Little Manly Cove, and Collins Beach (a short walk from the car park)
Starting your paddle on this side of the harbour means you are less likely to be exposed to swells rolling in through the heads when you paddle to this destination  but there is still ssome risk of swells. The ferry routes into North Harbour aare very busy so plan your crossing pint and inimise your time in the traffic areas.
