Description:
NOT CURRENTLY ACCESSIBLE. This would be one of the most exhilarating day paddles in NSW for experienced paddlers. The rapids start immediately after commencing the trip. About 3km down, two well spaced falls are encountered, both of which should be shot by making an approach on the far left. Care should be taken to avoid the right side due to the presence of strong suck-backs. There is a good lunch spot just past the second fall. The continuous rapids extend to a point about 3km up from Mac's Crossing where a dangerous fall is encountered which must be portaged. The portage is easy on the left. This fall can be seen from the road on the drive up to Emu Flat. Following the portage there is mostly flowing water with a few small rapids.
