Description:

This section of the river is not practical from a paddling point of view. Beginners and novices would find it dangerous because of the power of the water flowing into numerous tree block ups and competent paddlers would find no interest in it due to the incessant meanders that it makes (many more than are shown on the Tumut 1:100000 map). The Goobarragandra joins the Tumut River about 4km upstream of Tumut so that it would be better to paddle one of the sections of the Tumut River.
