Description:
Lake Parramatta is a beautiful fresh water lake in the headwaters of the Parramatta River. Surrounded by a reserve it is nestled in bushland, which is intern surrounded by residential area and schools. In the past water quality was an issue but now with regular water quality testing keeping an eye on things it is open for swimming in summer with the Parramatta Council providing life guards. The lake is only a kilometre long but still provides an interesting paddle in the bushland. This is a great family picnic spot. With Barb-be-ques toilets, cafe, children's play area and bushland walking track around the lake.
