Willow Warriors Landcare site on Goat island where they are removing weeds like Lantana, Asparagus fern, Turkey Rhubarb, Morning Glory to enhance the small amount of naative vegetation on the island in the middle of Sydney Harbour to prevent these weeds spreading into high value bushland around Sydney Harbour. Goat Island has very high visitations by local and international tourists as it is key destination for Sydney Historic Tours with a colonial precinct dating back to the early 1800's which includes the Queens Magazine, the harbour masters residence and a ship yard that is still in operation. There are also spectacular views of Sydney Harbour Bridge, the City of Sydney and north Sydney and the Harbour generally is was know by the Traditional Owners as Mel Mel a reference to the views from the location
