Description

UPDATE: SEPT 2015
This campsite has been badly DAMAGED by the August 2015 floods and will not be suitable for camping for some time. The site is covered in mud and debri. The creek which it is situated beside ( which usually isn't found running) has cut a new course through the firepit reducing the space. The flood waters were at least 1.2m high as there is caked cracked mud on the large rocks at the edge of the site.
PREVIOUS: This is a small and well protected campsite with just enough room for one tent (two very small tents at most). There is a well defined fire pit and plenty of timber as the site is not often used.(Most Tallowa visitors prefer to kayak up the Shoalhaven Gorge)There is a small creek at the campsite that feeds into Yarrunga Creek, however it only runs after there has been some rain. While it may not be big enough for your group to camp in, it does make a lovely lunch spot if you are heading up the creek to visit the timelong trail.
