Description

Grassy camping area 150 metres behind the western end of Cave Beach in Booderee National Park.  Toilets, showers (cold), fresh water, communal gas and wood barbecues.  You are advised not to feed the kangaroos but too many campers before you have ignored this advice and the kangaroos will look for food.  Zip up your tent.  The car park is 300 metres from the camping ground and you will need to carry your gear in.  While only 150 metres from the western end of the beach, this is the more exposed surfing part.  Land at the slightly less exposed eastern end and you will have a long walk.  An alternative is to land at the northern end of Bherwerre Beach and walk the 400 metre trail to the Cave Beach Camping Area.  Book well ahead in peak periods. Bookings can be made here.
