Description

Launched in July 1868 the Dorothy S was first registered as the Stephen. A 51 ton 2 masted wooden schooner she was a working sailing boat used in intra and interstate trade. In Nov 1922, Dorothy S was modified to be used as a hulk at Penrice. Permission was given to remove the vessel to a mud bank in Bream Creek to house hydroplanes. Eventually broken up, scuttled and abandoned in 1935. The wreck is located at latitude 34 48' 29' S and longitude 138 33' 49" E.
