Peppin Heritage Centre is located in the old Deniliquin Public School and features an excellent display depicting the struggles and triumphs of George Peppin and his sons in establishing the Peppin Merino Sheep Breed. The centre tells the story of the wool industry and those people associated with it. The surrounding grounds display the Warriston Ram, old Wanganella Gaol and the Struggle for Water Exhibition. The school's history has been preserved with one room furnished as a 1920's classroom complete with desks, blackboard and other items of memorabilia.
The large exhibition gallery hosts excellent travelling and local exhibitions throughout the year. The Deniliquin Visitor Information Centre is incorporated into the complex with information on Deniliquin and the district, and a wide range of souvenirs available from the friendly staff and volunteers.
