




Access: The camping area can be reached by boat (only). There is protected anchorage, and access is best at mid to high tide. Sheltered from SE winds.
NationalPark. Campsite backed by rainforest and connected by a 1km walking track to Sawmill Beach. Dugong Beach has better anchorage thanSawmill Beach but for shallow draft vessels only. Care must be taken to avoid coral bommies, particularly at low tide.
Camping area features: This site is suitable for larger groups, and has a good sandy beach backed by rainforest. A 1.5 km walking track through coastal rainforest connects to Sawmill Beach.
Location: Cid Harbour, Whitsunday Island; approximately 17km east-north-east of Shute Harbour.
Number of sites: 7 defined sites. Maximum of 36 people.
Camp sites are suitable for: walk-in camping; large groups.
Camp site surface: Sand and dirt.
Facilities: Composting toilets, picnic tables, sheltered picnic tables.
Open fires: Prohibited. Open fires and ash-producing stoves are not permitted on national park islands or intertidal lands adjacent to national park islands. Use gas or fuel stoves for cooking.
