The penalties you could face Fines up to $44,000 apply for people who are caught ignoring the restrictions in Special Areas. The Sydney Catchment Authority, NSW Police and the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service conduct regular surveillance and patrols of the Special and Controlled Areas, including the access corridors.
