SPECIAL POI: Bantry Bay Explosives Reserve

Fascinating area where paddlers can view the entrances to the old explosive storage tunnels in Bantry Bay. An easy paddle from the Roseville/Davidson Park launch area and on the weekends if you are early enough the coffee boat also often launches from there. Landing is not permitted at the Explosives reserve though there are several small beaches on either side of Middle Harbour on route to and from Bantry Bay. At high tides there is also some access to the mangrove areas at the apex of the bay.
