SPECIAL POI: "In the Trees" Camp site

There are several areas on the low alluvial banks of the river where you can camp between Penrith Weir and Devlin Road. River right is owned by Penrith Lakes Development Corporation but is due to be returned to public ownership in 2015. River left downstream of the homes at Emu Heights is National Park. This site is covered in Casuarinas plus some other weeds but is fairly large and flat although it is river stones so take the hammock or air bed. There are tracks along the edge of the mining site but the illegal drivers have not found their way down onto this flat as yet so it is a great camp site.
