Description

This site at shaws Farm is part of the Yellomudee Regional Park and is used by Bushwalkers, Anglers, Mountain Bike riders, horse riders and members of the local aboriginal community. in 2013 after a fire destroyed the old farm house new toilets and shelter area with tables has been built by National Parks and Wildlife Service. The area was overrun by a number of environmental weeds including Lantana, African Love Grass, Tobacco Bush, Gleditsia, Box Elders, Privett & Balloon Vive. In 2011 the Aboriginal Bushcare group formed and with the assistance of National Parks staff, contractors as well as the community volunteers they have been gradually removing the weeds and doing planting of native species.
