This really is the only option for launching directly onto the Hay River, just where it empties into the Wilson Inlet, although there is rarely any discernable flow.
It's the not the most security inspiring of parking sites. No facilities and a little awkward to launch from the river bank, but worth the effort as the river section is very quiet. We love taking the Prospector canoe out for spin here.
