Description:

This is a nice beginners flat water paddle for kayaks, canoes or stand up paddle boards (SUP) on a tidal river identified as a no wash zone. It is close to Wisemans Ferry and water skiers so there is increased power boat traffic. It is 8km one way or 16km return trip with a small park at sunny vale but no facilities. You can extend the paddle by paddling an additional 8km (16km return to Flemmings Creek. There are coffee shops and a pub at Wisemans Ferry as well as accommodation. The river flows through a residential area around Sunny Vale but other wise it is farm land and occassionally National park comes down to the eastern bank. At the lower end you can come across Water skiers although the river is a no- wash zone. There is no public access between these two points on the river although there are river side reserves at sunny vale, western bank at Central Macdonald and near Flemming Creek
