Description:

Wyangala provides great sheets of big open flat water for the boater be they be Paddle, wind or power. Secluded beaches in the bays and great fishing around the trees drowned by the waters. The section from the Wyangala Park to The Grabine Park is a suggestion as there are many bays and sandy beaches to find, in and around the banks of the Stored Lachlan and Abercrombie rivers.  Wyangala Reservoir is very popular for water skiing in warmer months. Explore and enjoy the experience.  Any afternoon wind will/may blow the water into very big water. Vehicles are normally safe if locked on the main beach area of the park, but are left at owner's risk.  The water's edge can be very boggy for vehicles, expensive to be recovered. Use boat ramp, if vessel trailered, just to be sure. If you have not been to Wyangala, this may wet your imagination. http://www.campertrailers.org/wyangala_dam.htm
