Description:
Access to the river at the Forbes Iron Bridge is from the back of the caravan park. You are required to speak with the park management before entering. Enter the river below the old weir.
The river flows well at 2meters plus allowing for a great paddle with some dead timber obstacles to negotiate. The section ends in the weir pool above the Cottons weir.
NOTE.... River exit at the Cottons weir could be considered dangerous with higher water levels. It is recommended that the site be visually inspected BEFORE any attempt in this section with an alternative exit point to be at the White Bend reserve off Red Bend rd off Wongajong rd of the Lachlan Valley way. Make yourself fully awear of both before paddling.
