Jon Mortimer manages the Eurobodalla Kayakers website and email list. Eurobodalla Kayakers is not a club. It is simply a facility for sharing information about some kayaking activities in the district, for kayakers who want to know when and where other paddlers might be found on the water. Further information, including a calendar of paddles, is available on the website (access via the link below) or via the email eurobodallakayakers[at]gmail.com

Description:

A 12 km round trip paddle from Plantation Point Vincentia to Currambene Creek at Huskisson on the western shore of Jervis Bay, with a stop at Shark Net Beach in Huskisson.  Plantation Point has a nice sandy beach sheltered from southerly winds.  Launch here and paddle north to Huskisson.  Pop in to Currambene Creek and paddle around the yatchs moored there.  Leave the Creek and stop off at Shark Net Beach for a break before returning to Plantation Point.  The town of Huskisson is behind this beach, with the local kayak shop, Jervis Bay Kayaks, just across the road.  Shark Net Beach is quite small and is popular with families in summer.  Take care in peak times or choose a spot on another beach.  The name Shark Net Beach is historical, the shark net is no longer maintained.
